Learn Italian Go was created from a simple but powerful insight.
Years ago, while working at the Italian Pavilion in EPCOT, I met countless Italian Americans who would smile and say, “I’m Italian too!”—always in English. At first, I wondered: If you’re Italian, why not speak Italian?
Over time, I understood. Their pride was genuine, but something was missing: the language. Italian is more than vocabulary—it’s a bridge to identity, heritage, family, and belonging.
That realization inspired me to create Learn Italian Go:

I’m Lucia Aiello, founder of Learn Italian Go. I’m passionate about helping learners move beyond frustration and finally speak Italian with confidence and joy. Proudly Neapolitan and originally from Vico Equense—a coastal town between the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi Coast—I now live in Connecticut, where I’ve been sharing the beauty of the Italian language since 2017.
I’ve helped hundreds of adults overcome fear and build lasting confidence. Having learned multiple languages myself, I understand the vulnerability of speaking and the power of consistency. When I’m not teaching, I spend time with my family, enjoy southern Italian food, and listen to the sea—a sound that always brings me back to Mount Vesuvius in the distance.
I’ve loved languages since childhood. Born and raised in Padula among books and dictionaries, that passion led me to become both a translator and a language teacher. Today, my goal is to make learning Italian fun, engaging, and accessible. I love sharing the nuances of words and cultures and guiding students through the adventure of multilingual communication.
Hi! I’m Clarissa—everyone calls me Cla. I’m Italian, originally from Puglia, and I moved to Manchester five years ago (yes, the weather was a shock!). I’m a language and interpreting teacher and a professional interpreter. Teaching is my passion, and nothing makes me happier than seeing my students thrive. Outside of work, I love running, reading, and enjoying cozy weekends as a dedicated couch potato.
Born and raised in the mountains of Abruzzo, I left Italy years ago to explore the world and immerse myself in different cultures. I’m passionate about teaching and deeply in love with the Italian language. Books and hiking are my essentials—I can’t imagine life without either!
I was born in Alcamo, Sicily, and I’ve always loved sharing my language, culture, and traditions. After studying Italian language teaching for foreigners in Tuscany and living in Turin, I’m now based in the U.S. pursuing a PhD in Italian Studies. I introduce students not only to Italian but also to iconic films, music, and traditions that shape our cultural identity. My goal is to make learning Italian engaging, enriching, and full of the spirit of la dolce vita.
